Questions & Answers
Q: What is the password to unprotect spreadsheet in Business Valuation Model Excel. I just made the purchase and I need this answed ASAP. Thanks.
A: Input cells (blue) are not protected and are the only cells that should be changed for the software to function correctly. As outlined in the Terms and Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions page all non-input cells and Visual Basic code are protected to ensure integrity and protect source code. All input is via unprotected input cells, protected cells contain formula and should not be changed. The software is fully functional and the protection is in place to ensure the software formula and code is not corrupted. We do offer Commercial licenses for the use of software for inter-business support, advice, or consulting and upon request with a Commercial license can provide an unprotected software version allowing you to to view the formula applied, access cell contents to enhance your knowledge of software operation (macros remain protected) and undertake minor refinements (ie headings etc). Our standard Non-Commercial license is for private and internal business use only. You can upgrade from a Non-Commercial license to a Commercial license at https://bizpep.com/upgrade.html . Q: I have several pages that no longer exist on my site and use 301 redirects to switch visitors to a comparable page on the site. Will your SiteMap generator exclude these pages? (OR, how does it handle 301 redirects?)
A: If the incorrect links (old pages) are not on any live pages on the site they will not be indexed. From the Start url the sitemap generator extracts the href value of anchor tags (links), and then extracts from the next page etc. So basically as long as the links on your site are current the correct pages will be indexed regardless of any old pages or redirects. You can give it a try using our online version at https://bizpep.com/sitemapxml/ . You can to see what would be returned if an old url was called using a Get Response in our Header Viewer at https://bizpep.com/http-header.php#viewer .

Q: I want to do a Google SiteMap. I followed directions and ran the generator on my site. I uploaded the site as directed. I can easily see my sitemap when I go to the server and put in the path. However, your directions say it is a google format but it doesn't have a .xml extension. it is php. I submitted it to google, but don't think they'll take the php site because they specifically ask for xml.
A: Yes they will. The php file generates a valid xml output acceptable to Google (what you see when you call the file is an xml output). Google do not care what the file name is or the extension as long as the returned file is xml which is what is provided by the dynamic php script ie sitemap.php .

Q: Thanks for the last answer. One more thing how do I put holidays and days away in for individual members of staff.
A: As outlined in the Shift Details section of the Help file you can set a Yes or No work requirement by inputting a "Y" or "N" to mark a matrix cell before you Build Roster. For example if your first staff member cannot work your first shift input a "N" in the cell where the first staff row and the first shift column intersect (D24). If the first staff must work the first shift input a "Y". Marked cells only operate for 1 Build Roster and are then cleared to allow a new roster. So to force a staff member to work a specific shift input a "Y" in the staff/shift cell, to force a must not work input a "N" in the staff shift cell.
