Questions & Answers
Q: I'm evaluating your Excel workbook to calculate break-even values and optimal price (workbook name: Pricing and Breakeven Analysis 21.xls) and I'm confused by your calculations of variable cost. In your documentation it states that the variable cost is 69% of the revenue; but this percentage seems to change when you increase or decrease the average price and this percentage is also different in the calculation of the optimal price. How are you calculating the variable cost under those different scenarios?
A: The 69% is simply the example applied in the software. The variable cost is an input ie you input the value of variable costs for your business (you can obtan this from your P&L or on a unit sales basis). These costs include materials, production, distribution, and transaction costs etc. The variable cost percentage is simply this number as a percentage of the revenue ie in the example 69% is 345,000 / 500,000 (variable cost / business revenue). As you change the price and/or units sold then the revenue will vary (revenue = price * units sold) and so may the variable cost percentage. If the number of units sold changes then the variable cost in monetary terms will also change ie if each unit has a variable cost of $10 and I sell 100 the variable cost is 1000 if I sell 80 it is 800.

Q: I am looking at the business valuation model listed at $ 30 to purchase. However when I start to purchase what I think is the right software, It states that it is $ 39.00. I don't know if I am actually ordering the same software.
A: The price of $30.00 is several years old and no longer applicable, we have undertaken a number of software improvements since then. The reference to the old pricing is no longer applicable (and appears to be from a site that has not updated details in the last couple of years?). The software is the same but with updates. You can access and purchase the current version from our web site https://bizpep.com .

Q: How do your get the sender name to appear when the email is received, (says unknown sender)?
A: You need to set the Defined Email Address Form Field as outlined in the Help file. This must be the same as the name of the email field in the form, if not the processing code does not know what field contains the email address. This also applies for the other Defined Fields as outlined in the Help file.

A: If the processing code does not know what field is the email address is it can not send a copy as it does not know where to send it . You need to set the Defined Email Address Form Field as outlined in the Help file also as outlined in the Help file "...this should only be used in conjunction with a Defined Email Address Field that is set as Required in the Defined Required Form Fields" .

Q: How do I eliminate all this extra information that it send?
A: It sends the information that the variables are set for. The "extra" information is the User Variables because Include User Variables is set (see the Help file) and User Cookies because Include User Cookies is set (see the Help file). If you do not want this data then these variables must be unset (ie false in the processing code). It also looks as thought you are sending in html format (but your email reader does not handle multi-part messages) so to send a plain text email HMTL Email should not be set (see the Help file).
