Questions & Answers
Q: Right now we are using Goldmine 6.0 version to maintain the leads....and this software also provide Webimport features....if i am right then "Form1 Builder GoldMine Software" is related to this software. Please also let me know if $59.00 is one time cost or is there any other costing with it. One more thing... is there any need to install this software on that PC on which Goldmine software is installed.... please suggest me.
A: Yes, Form1 Builder GoldMine is used with GoldMine Databases to import the form data into the database. There is a once only license fee for this with no other cost. The Form1 Builder GoldMine software can run on any computer it does not need to be the one running GoldMine. Form1 Builder GoldMine creates form processing code which is then uploaded to your server to process the form submissions and send them in the required format for GoldMine to import the data. For details please refer to the Form1 Builder GoldMine web pages and Help file ( https://bizpep.com/form1/ ).

Q: I am using Form1 for GoldMine successfully except for one issue. When the form is emailed back to me from my web site, all of the persons information is inputed into my database correctly, but the email containing all their contact information is not linked to their GoldMine record. Each time I get a new contact email, I have to manually search for their record. Is there any way to make it so that the email from my web form is linked or attached to the new record that was created for them?
A: If you have an email field in your form that has the same name as the email field in GoldMine the email will be imported into the contact along with all the other details. The standard GoldMine email field is usually named "email" in which case you would use a form field named "email" as the user email input field?

Q: I wanted to tell you that I've been playing with your software for a little while and I LOVE it - it's a HUGE time saver. I just registered 1 user/domain. I've got a slight concern over the registration and the software itself. Where is the registration recorded? Is it in the software or is it recorded on your systems? When I use form1builder, does it check in with you to determine that my copy is legit? I guess my concern is, if you guys go out of business, will i still be able to create forms with the software that I purchased for this domain? And also, if you go out of business, I assume my existing forms will still work. Is this true? It just seems odd that the only files are html, php and js files - so, it makes me question where the registration info is being stored. I mean, I notice that after registering, the modification dates of the files have not changed. I'm looking forward to understanding this better.
A: Thanks for the feedback. On your questions the registration details for Form1 Builder are held in cookies on your computer. When you build a form using a registered Form1 Builder the form code also includes registration information ie domain etc. Both the Form and Form1 Builder are completely independent of us ie no linking etc so they will continue to work ad infinitum (forever). But make sure you keep a copy of your registration details in case you need to reinstall etc.

Q: I registered my software using the link on the 1st page. It went through my name, company, number, etc. and my emailed forms do not have the evaluation copy disclaimer on them anymore but I still get the 1st page that tells me how many days I have left for my evaluation. Will my forms stop working if that expires?
A: If you built the form/code using a registered Form1 Builder the form will not expire (and will have no evaluation message in the delivered form data). Form1 Builder registration is held in cookies on your computer so if you have cookies disabled/blocked each time you restart Form1 Builder before you build a new form you will need to reinput registration codes so the new form is registered. From what you have said it seems that your forms will be fine as thy are registered however your Form1 Builder registration (cookies) have been cleared so if you build any more forms make sure you register your Form1 Builder before you start.

Q: I have purchased FormBuilder and unfortunately, after building an email form within a webpage, received a message indicating that a required file was not found. I suspect that the .php file (named "mail1.php") could not be found, but I am not sure and not sure why. I tried it with and without the full url. My code is split into the form itself and the form processor script ("mail1.php"), which was uploaded "as is" from a text editor onto the site general directory and then renamed. Since you have the title, you may be able to access it directly off the website; otherwise, I can send it as an attachment if you request. I would really appreciate any suggestions you can give. I tried Matt Wright's Formmail and gave up for lack of CGI / PERL experience and had hoped that your package would be successful. Am I correct that the form action line is not pointing correctly, or is my PHP file defective? I do not really want to put the processor code in with the html, and besides, that didn't work anyway.
A: I had a look at your home page with the form and in the source I can see the php code in the form action ie it is <?php ...etc. Because I can see this in your page code it indicates that your server is not running the php code. Does your server support php? Have you tried the php test code at https://bizpep.com/phptest.html ? I also cannot access your mail1.php, again possibly your server does not support php files. If you identify that your server does not support php you maybe interested in our bizpep Hosting solution https://bizpep.com/host.php where we process the form on our servers (you can give it a free test all you have to do is open an account and point your form action to it). Let me know what you discover and I will be able to help further if required.
