Questions & Answers
Q: I downloaded the pmme.exe file to try out. I opened the attached XL file. I got a compile error in hidden module this workbook error message. Macro security is set to low.
A: The Production Mix Model uses the Solver Add-in macros included with Microsoft Excel. The operation of the Solver Add-in is different for different Excel versions. In the download package there is a Production Mix Model for Excel 2000 and one for Excel 2002. Use the one that matches your version of Excel. Production Mix Model is not designed to run on Excel 97. Make sure you use the version that matches your Excel. A compilation error message is generated on opening this model if the Solver Add-in cannot be located. This can be due to not using the correct Production Mix Model version or Solver not being installed on your computer. To check Solver from Excel go tools, if Solver is not included in the drop down menu, select Add-ins and check Solver Add-in. Close Excel and then reopen the Production Mix Model. For more detail follow the Excel help instructions to install and load the Solver Add-in.

Q: I am having trouble with the sitemap script. It just keeps loading and then shows a "page cannot be displayed" message.
A: What has changed? Something (a link in your pages?) is causing the generator to run for longer than the server allows. I gave it a quick test using a static sitemap with the default settings and it works fine. So somewhere in the deeper links there is a href link that sends it of to an unvalid page or maybe a loop. Check that there are no links to a dynamic sitemap generator in any of the pages it crawls. To try and isolate it you can run a few static sitemaps gradually building the depath to try and identify the links causing the problem.
