Questions & Answers
Q: Hi, I recently purchased a license for form1 builder. I am just experimenting at the moment with the software but have encountered a problem. When I build a quickform, save as .php in text editor and upload, it works fine. However, when I copy the code into Dreamweaver (V.4) it displays the php code. I have previously used this software for a different site (March 2005) and edited my forms in Dreamweaver this way and it worked fine. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks
A: As outlined in the Help file you should only use a Text Editor not a html editor (ie Dreamweaver) when editing or using the php processing code. Html editors can break the php code (as has happened on your page). By all means use Dreamwever to create your form layout but once you have completed the layout open it in a text editor and paste the processing code, and do not open the file in Dreamweaver once php code as been added. If you follow this process you should have no problems.

Q: I purchased Form1. It has worked great. I have moved the web site to a new ISP and now the form doesn't work right. I does everything except actually send the emails. It does support PHP. Do you have any ideas as to the cause of this problem?
A: Have you run the Test Code from https://bizpep.com/phptest.html on your new server? If you run the test code you should receive a test email. If you do not receive a test email the domain may not support the php mail function or if it is a windows server you may need to set the SMTP Mailserver Settings (only available in Form1 Builder not superseded Form1 code).

Q: My form shows up with all the code as well as the form. Is there a minimum version of PHP required? My server uses 4.4.1
A: Any version PHP 4 or later (ie pretty much since 2000) should be fine. Because you can see the php code it is not running, if you do not already try naming you form file with a .php extension ie form.php, some servers only run php on files with a php extension. You can test your server php support using the Test Code at https://bizpep.com/phptest.html . If you still have no luck you will need to contact your server host and let them know that php is not running correctly.

Q: We are getting an error with one of the forms. The error is ... Form Delivery Error Your form has not been delivered. Please use your browsers back button to return to the form and resubmit..... This form has worked in the past?
A: If the form was working on the same server previously and the form has not changed then it is likely that something on the server has been changed. In this case contact your server host and advise them that it appears the php mail function is no longer running correctly and ask for them to restore it. If the form was running on a different server but not the new server then you need to check the new server support for php and the php mail function. You can do this using the Test Code at https://bizpep.com/phptest.html . One other point is the use of 2 delivery email addresses and the autoresponse. As you are using an old Form1 Builder Version (version 1 we are currently at 3) give it a try with 1 delivery email address (not 2) as this may be causing a conflict with the autoresponder. Please note also that Version 1 does not include current Form Hijacking ( https://bizpep.com/form-hijacking.php ) protection and it may be worth considering an updating your Form1 Builder software.
