Questions & Answers
Q: A useful business tool might be software that would permit quick reorganization of programs and data between hard drives. For example a small business finds that its existing hard drive is filling up and installs a second, slave drive. Then it would be necessary to move less frequently used programs to the slave drive, or data to the slave drive. That means that registry references and references to Windows instructions (residing on C: drive) would need to changed given the new location of the program. Automation of such a process could save a lot of time... and the software might be desirable not only to businesses but also the home computer user.
A: Thanks for the suggestion. If you are looking for something along these lines try a search at the Business Resource database http:// www.resourcedb.com

Q: I purchased this software 2 days ago and have yet to hear back from you folks?
A: Your payment via PayPal was an eCheque. As soon as it clears registration details will be sent. For eCheques as PayPal advise "This eCheque payment will remain 'Uncleared' until the funds have cleared from the sender's account, which usually takes four working days. If you are shipping an item, please do not ship your item until the funds have cleared into your PayPal account. You will be notified by email when the funds have cleared into your PayPal balance." As soon as we receive notification from PayPal that the payment has been completed registration details will be sent.

Q: Hi - Great sitemap generator. I have a couple of issues and I'm not sure if it's me, the configuration or the script :( . When I try to create a sitemap I get urls that seem to include '..' which doesn't look right and where it is chopping off a couple of directories.
A: Thanks for the feedback. Your problem is most likely due to the use of the relative directory syntax ../ in your web pages. SiteMap XML extracts href links from pages. If it finds href text without the domain ie /mydir/mypage.html or in your case ../mypage.html it adds the domain and this is used as the url in the SiteMap. So if the web page includes ../mypage.html then this is appended to the domain and that is what appears as the url in the site map ie http://www.mydomain.com/../mypage.html , however if the href is /mydir/mypage.html or http://www.mydomain.com/mydir/mypage.html then http://www.mydomain.com/mydir/mypage.html is used. To handle this you can remove the ../ syntax from your web pages or set ../ in the Exclude URL's with and then if mypage.html is not in any pages as a href link without the syntax ../ ie as http://www.mydomain.com/mydir/mypage.html or /mydir/mypage.html either add it to a page so it is picked up or simply add it to the Start URLs. Hope this makes sense.

Q: One of my forms still seem to be getting hi-jacked. Below is just 1 of the 4 form results I received this morning. The rest of the forms on this site so far have not been affected in this way, since updating them using Form1. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
A: It is an attempt at Form hijacking but it was not successful due to the Form1 code. If you you do not have display as html set then you may still receive copies of attempted hijacks however they will only be delivered to you as a normal form not to the hijacker or their targets (the hijack control code is removed). If you do not want to receive these attempts you can set the Display as HTML before Submission, see the Help file for details.

Q: We own a magazine and use goldmine 6.7 Corporate edition (sql)... we understand how your Form Builder works in creating new records, but we need a means of allowing existing subscribers to go online enter their email address and password and update their contact and other information in our GM database. Can this be done with our Form Builder program? Thanks for your help.
A: You could use the password access feature to make a password protected form. Once the password is provided the the update information form would be displayed and when submitted the information imported into GoldMine using Web Import. However to use an email and password access you would need an online database (MYSQL is common) and a log on access script, this is not a component of the Form1 script..
