Q: How does your budget tool handle payroll? Does it allow for positions by location and hourly rates with assumptions for increases? How does your product handle multiple locations and divisions that each require their own budget?

A: It allows you do add budget line items which can be refined year on year using percentage adjustments (based on cost amount not hours etc). So for payroll it is the payroll cost adjucted by a percentage (not the hours). If you require multiple budgets (divisions) you can simply create a separate budget file for each. You can download and give the software a trial free for 7 days, this allows you to assess its suitability.

Q: I cannot determine whether to buy the Budget Tool or the Forecast Budget Builder. How do you suggest I work out which one would suit? Does the Budget Tool perform any forecasting? I already use an Excel workbook for my budget. I do need forecasting capability, and there seems to be more charts in the Forecast Builder that would be very useful. Would I be wrong in saying that the FBBE is more advanced than the BTBE?

A: They are really providing different benefits. The Forecast and Budget Builder is a high level tool that provides a forecast and a very high level budgeting capacity (not itemized lines). The Budgeting Tool allows you to add any line items you like but does not really provide a high level forecast. Many clients use both together, the Forecast and Budget Builder to generate a forecast and get a high level feel of revenue and costs. They then use this as a frame work from which they develop a more detailed budget using the Budget Tool (if you already have a budget spreadsheet this could possibly be used for the detailed budget).

Q: What is the possibility of porting your software to OSX on the Mac. OK we can now run XP on Intel machines but since these are written for Excel I wondered if this made it any easier?

A: We are currently developing browser based versions of some of our current Excel titles (due for release next year). These will be platform independent. At present most of the the Excel software will run on a Mac that has Mac Execl.

Q: I have tried to make this work in slimbrowser, firefox and IE and I cannot get anywhere..I built a database .. and I was hoping to use this as our sign up app.

A: The software is not browser dependant as all form processing is php server based. Did you get a form running and did it deliver an email (to do this you need php on your server, you can test php using the test code at https://bizpep.com/phptest.html It is usually best to set up a Quick Form (see the help file) initially and test the form submission before you move to modifying and databases. If the form delivers and it is an insert into mysql that is the issue make sure that you have matching database field and form field names, they must be the same for the data to be added. If you let me know what stage you are up to ie what worked or did not work and send me the url of your form and the form file as an email attachment I will be able identify the problem for you.

Q: I cannot register the Queuing model and I cannot get to the data spreadsheets.

A: To register the software and for it to function macros must be enabled. Please ensure you enable macros when your open the software Excel file. To assist you I have attached a pre-registered version of your software. Simply save it to your computer and open it with macros enabled. If this response not resolve your issue please provide specific details and I will be able to assist further.
