Questions & Answers
Q: I already have form hosting which is an excellent product. I downloaded a trial version of form builder. I have tried without any success to modify form. I want to add a file upload facility but find your instructions very unhelpful, your advice would be much appreciated.
A: File upload is not available via bizpep Hosting. To use the Form1 file upload you must run the form processing code generated by Form1 Builder on your server using the File Attachments settings as outlined in the Help file, see https://bizpep.com/form1/ .

Q: I have a question about Form 1 Builder for Goldmine. I want to have a form that will allow someone to register for a seminar and then create a new file in GM. After they become clients, i would like to create another form for them to fill out all of their other personal info that we didn't collect for the seminar. My question is this....can you update a current contact after it has already been created? If so, how do you do it without creating another contact. Thanks!
A: The processing code simply sends the form data in a WebImport format that can be read by the GoldMine database. What it does with the data is determined by Goldmine and any processing codes it is provided with. Values will be updated based on database keys ie (email address) . You can also add processes to the form submission that provide additional commands to Goldmine to manage the data see https://bizpep.com/form1/ and GoldMine Help under Automated Processes.

Q: I'm considering changing to a mac notebook. Is PL Compiler compatible with mac software or is it compatible with either open source or mac version of ms office?
A: Excel for mac and other variants do not fully support all Macros. PL Compiler uses some high level macros and it is unlikely these are supported in software running on a Mac. While some components will run you would lose some level of functionality, this could range from minimal to sever impact.

Q: Hi been using your form builder for a while now and all working fine want to know if it can pull variables from the url so I open the form.php file with pre-populated form fields. Is there a way to do this?
A: Yes, add quires to your url by adding a ? and then your key value pairs each separated by a & ie http://www.mydomain.com/?product=item1&name=fred etc. In your form file using a text editor add the value to each field to prepopulate as value="<?php echo $_GET['product'];?>" replacing the product with the required key as used in your url. This will result in a prepopulated form field value as passed by your url. This is similar to the method used to Maintain Form Content but without the sessions see https://bizpep.com/form1/ .

Q: Is there a step by step guide to get a from made from your software into Microsoft expression web. I get all kind of codes in my pages but no form.
A: If you already have a form in your code you can simply add the processing code to your file and set the form action or if you do not have a form you can also copy the form component only (from the form start tag to the form end tag) and paste it directly into the body of an existing web page file. See the Copy and Paste section of the help file https://bizpep.com/form1/
