Q: Is there a simple way to exclude files within a specific directory?
A: By using an Exclude URLs value you should be able to exclude all urls in a directory. If your directory to exclude is /subdirectory1/ and the url structure is something like mydomain/subdirectory1/page.html then simply add /subdirectory1/ as an Exclude URLs value. See the Exclude URLs section in the Help file https://bizpep.com/sitemapxml/ .

Q: I have been using your sitebuilder tool to generate a sitemap for a dynamic php website. I am very interested in buying this as I am a web deve loper and need to construct numerous websites. I just have a question about the xml output: The XML tags all have a hyphen in front of them like this: - <url> Does this invalid the XML ?
A: The - is not in the xml output, it is only a formatting marker added by your browser when xml is viewed in a browser. If you click the - the xml will be compressed/expanded to assist viewing. If you View Source of the xml displayed in your browser you will see that the - does not exist in the xml coding. It has no impact on the validity of the xml generated and is only browser formatting.
