Q: Get error message when attempting to print. checked printer - - works fine. What say U?
A: I say it is simply an excel file and there is nothing in the software that should prevent printing. Have you tried printing a different Excel file? If you continue to have difficulty send me a copy of your file as an email attachment and I will check from this end.

Q: Hi, I am just starting to enter data for 2014-2015 and some of the white areas won't clear. A message pops up saying: "... the cell ... is protected and therefore read only". These areas cleared everywhere else when I deleted the old data.
A: The white areas are formula and are protected you do not clear them. If the blue areas are empty ie nothing in them the white areas will be cleared.

Q: I can enter income but can't enter any expenses the sheet is locked.
A: Input is in the blue cells only. You only input the Received amount for Expenses and the Paid Amount for Income. All other values Expense/Income and Tax amount are automatically calculated on the income and expense sheet based on the setup in the Accounts sheet where you set up your accounts and applicable tax. Input is only in blue cells, other cells include formula and are protected. If you overwrite formula the calculations will be corrupt and you will need to revert to the original file. Q: Hi. I have just joined BAS-ic. I used the link given, set and opened in Google Chrome. I have set up business name and type and GST but I cannot enter any data under account, revenue or amount. I am using Windows 7. Hope you can help.
A: To add a transaction click an account button (revenue account buttons are green, expense account buttons are red) this adds a transaction line and then you can input a total in the transaction line (red or green cell in the total column). You can see an Overview of BAS-I.C Small Business BAS and GST Accounting at http://bas-i.com.au/overview.html this includes a video showing how data is input. If you still have difficulty let me know exactly what you are doing and what does or does not happen and I will assist further. Your system seems suitable and should be fully functional.
