Q: Can my form report the search string that was used to find my site?
A: Yes, if you record the referrer as a cookie then this will be sent with the form data on submission if you set Include User cookies, see https://bizpep.com/form1/ . We use this method ourselves setting a cookie the first time a user comes to one of our sites with the referrer domain or a query value to track affiliates and promotion sources, this is then submitted with any further actions ie form submission/purchase etc. You can set your cookie using javascript or php. If you are unsure how to set a cookie a quick search for php $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] or javascript set cookie will provide lots of resources. Using php would be preferable.
