Q: I have a site that is constructed of php files in the root directory that call html files in a sub-directory by the include function. All of the content, keywords and titles are contained in the html files in the sub-directory. I assume when a sitemap is built with just the php files in the root directory the content for keyword searches will not be found? I also assume that if I construct a sitemap of the html files in the sub-directory, and the search engines display the link, the links will not be valid?
A: The php returns the html so the returned page contains all the content. Call your page and then View Source to see. So just use your php file names in the sitemap and everything will be correct.
