Q: It is importing into Goldmine beautifully, by the way and will save us many hours of data input. How secure is the process we are using? Will it be possible for the information submitted on the form to get stolen in the process that takes place between when the submit button is pushed and when the e-mails are delivered? Would the password option help at all?
A: The form data is delivered by email over the internet. Emails are not considered a secure medium. Having a password access makes no difference to the delivery method. As long as you are not collecting payment details ie credit card numbers/bank accounts etc form submission via email should be sufficient. For payment data a https encrypted secure connection should be applied and the data sent directly to an online database, with this method even if the data is intercepted it is encrypted and secure.
