Q: I have been working with the Quickform design before I move on to tackle something more. I have managed to get input from the form on the server to goldmine. Two emails come into the goldmine program. There is one with the form connects and there is the one with the webimport details. They both are able to be received but the contact details are not updated as a record in Goldmine. Is there something that I am not doing. Something about the webimport form that I have not set up?
A: The form field names need to match the GoldMine field names, ie if the GoldMine email field is named email then the form field name needs to be email, it should look like <input type="text" name="email" /> . The Quick Form field names do not necessarily match your GoldMine field names. Have a look at the sample GoldMine form Form1WebImport packed with the software. You can see the field names if your view source or open it with a text editor. These names are usually the default goldmine names. You need to change your field names either by building a form or editing the form fields in a text editor so the field names match GoldMines.
