Q: I am using a trial Forecast and Budget Builder and wonder if there is a way to assess the following. I am looking at a business which has products ranging from a few dollars to several thousand dollars per unit. Is there any easy way to insert figures to build a budget for the whole operation, rather than do a spread sheet for each product ? There are several hundred products!
A: Using Forecast and Budget Builder you can use total business figures or break the business into sub businesses by bundling products together. In general unless there is substantial difference between the markets of the products (ie consumer goods vs government services for example) then the best approach is to simply use total business figures (ie all products together) to determine forecast inputs.
