Q: How can I make sure a user fills out a certain field. I made the student_email field required but it let me submit the form without filling out this field.

A: Make sure that the field name in your form is exactly the same as the filed name you set as required. So if the your set a required field as student_email the field name in the form must be student_email (all lower case).
