Q: I tried the free source code that you have posted in your website. But, it generated many duplicated pages. And also why doesn't it create XML Sitemap for all extracted links. Is there any way that it can create XML Sitemap for all the extracted links. And also what is the meaning of unique links used.
A: A unique url is a simply a url that has not already been included, it eliminates duplicates. However it will not know that http://www.mydomain.com/ and http://www.mydomain.com/index.html are not unique but are the same page. So if your site includes href links to a index.html page you may need to use the Exclude variable to remove urls that are not unique but are the same page. Your site should not include duplicate links as Search Engines will find them from your page and potentially penalize your site for having duplicate pages. If your site does not include duplicate links the sitemap will not either. When a Google site map is selected an xml sitemap is created for all links extracted based on the settings used ie Include, Exclude, Depth etc.
