Q: I'm creating a one page web site that I want to be able to password protect. In addition, I want to be able to send an email out to college coaches that will have a link to take them to the site that will have the password embedded so they don't have to type it in to view the site. Very simply, they click on the link and have access to the page. Can your product do this easily. Are there any limitations as to what situations it will not work? Does the password protection work if javascript is disabled? I'm not a techie!
A: Yes you can easily to this. The protection is done server side (via the php coding) and is not browser dependant so it works without javascript (or any other browser requirements). As long as your server supports php it will work. You can use a GET variable ie http://www.mydomain/mypage.html?pw=mypassword (where mypassword is the one set in the protection code) as a url that will provide direct page access without having to input the password. Just set the Use Get variable, see the Help file for details. You can give it a try free for 7 days from https://bizpep.com/password/ .
