Questions & Answers
Q: I've been testing out your Dynamic XML Site Map tool, but file isn't listing any of my URL's. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
A: You need to adjust your Include URLs with settings to match you site structure. Add a backslash "/" to the Include URL's with setting so it matches your urls which have no file extension.... see https://bizpep.com/sitemapxml/

Q: Thank you for your help. Why is the sitemap limited to 5000 links? Is there a licence for 100+ or unlimited?
A: The Limit is set to prevent possible server and browser timeouts. Using a dynamic site map you can set the Limit greater than 5000 but you need to test it to ensure your server and site structure can run this volume. See https://bizpep.com/sitemapxml/ for more info.

Q: I downloaded the 7-day demo version of SiteMap XML. I just tested out the dynamic site map generator of SiteMap XML under Sitemaps in Google Webmaster Central (GWC). GWC is coming back with a result of Web Pages: 945 submitted. However, wehave more than 3,000 web pages, so that's not right. Also GWC is warning that there are pages included in robots.txt in the site map. I definitely do not want those spidered, so how do I make sure they are not? Does inclusion in the Site Map mean they are automatically included? The principle reason I am interested in this software is I want Google to be able to find keywords in XML data on dynamic pages using Adobe Spry. Right now, with the test sitemap I just uploaded, it does not. I'd need to be assured these problems could be resolved before purchasing this software.
A: Possibly because you have not set the correct Include URLs with characters to suit your site or page are not linked with a href tag? The urls included in the site map are determined by the links and settings used, only linked urls that match the Include URLs with pattern will be included. In Dynamic mode the number of pages extracted is also impacted by the depth and limit values set. Sitemap XML does not use the robots.txt file so if you want to exclude certain urls use the Exclude URL's with pattern to exclude them. The dynamic map is the same as the static in the way it runs so as recommended in the help file run your settings in static mode to test. This returns info on the numbe of links time etc. If the static works, the dynamic with the same settings will work also. The Help file https://bizpep.com/sitemapxml/ provides details. If you continue to have difficulty let me know your urls and the settings (send me a copy of your dynamic file as an email attachement) you are using and what is missing and I will have a look for you.

Q: My software stopped working. All the licensing and login data is correct but it seems to stall. Is my software simply old and needs to be replaced? Have you upgraded its functionality? If so, have any sort of "special upgrade" offer? Your product has worked well for me and would like to keep using it!
A: There is a version 2 https://bizpep.com/sitemapxml/ . However if it stopped working it most likely due to a change on your server (ie php change) or site (ie bad link?). You can try the new version (it should be cover by your old license ie free) it does have some additional error handling and see how your go. If you still have difficulty try generating a static site map and adjusting you setting to see if there is an area on your site that s creating the problem.

Q: Created a static site map and uploaded to my server. Seems to be fine except the following appears at the top of the site map:"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." Shall I just live with that or does Google require style information associated?
A: This is only a browser message and simply indicates the xml document is displayed without formatting. This is the way it is required for google.
