Questions & Answers
Q: Hello, I am studying the merger of two small transport companies. I would like to know what excel sheets you recommend. And please explain how the service works. Will I be able to use the sheet with anyone?
A: Business Valuation https://bizpep.com/businessvaluation.html , Price Break Even Analysis https://bizpep.com/pricebreakevenanalysis.html , Profit Contribution https://bizpep.com/profitcontribution.html or Business Analysis https://bizpep.com/businessanalysis.html options will all provide valuable insight. The first 3 are spreadsheet based, licensed with an annual subscription and will be registered to the purchaser for use on multiple devices for the individual licensed email address recipient with unlimited use but not distribution. This means you can use them with others but not distribute them in licensed form. Business Analysis is browser based and combines the Business Forecast, Valuation , Break Even and Pricing Analysis in one package with a one time perpetual licence which fully enables application use on multiple devices for the individual licensed email address recipient.

Q: Do your excel templates work on open-office as well as windows?
A: Most templates will run in Open Office, in some cases registration macros may not function and we will send pre registered software once you have purchased a license. You can download software and give it a test run for free. We also provide many software titles in browser based formats which simply run in your browser and do not require any spreadsheet software. Our Business Analysis Software https://bizpep.com/businessanalysis.html combines Forecast, Valuation and Breakeven and Pricing Analysis in 1 browser based package.

Q: From what I gather on your website, each template is sold separately. Is it possible to put together a package at a lower price than the sum of its parts?
A: There is a 30% discount for multi licence purchases and for purchases of over 10 software titles we can provide volume pricing. If you are interested in greater than 10 software titles please let me know what titles and I will be able to provide details. We also have some combined titles such as our browser based Business Analysis Software https://bizpep.com/businessanalysis.html which combines Forecast, Valuation and Breakeven and Pricing Analysis.

Q: I am looking for an investment analysis tool that I can use for justifying an investment in a new business outside the US. I have a simplistic dcf / payback analysis that is typically used for capital expenditure justification. I am looking at your "Business Valuation Model" but this doesn't seem to take into account initial and recurring capital expenditures required. Do you have a different model or models you can suggest?
A: The valuation model provides both an interest expense which reflects the cost of capital and a Depreciation Allowance which is a capital allownace based on the value of Business Assets and Asset life. So if you have operational capital requirements you can determine the cost of capital ie the interest rate appliacable if the capital was fully financed and apply this as a fixed Interest expense. If the capital relates to depreciaing assests then then it should be reflected as Depreciation (related to Assets and Asset life inputs). If you prefer you can also simply add a recurring capital requirement as an Other expense item. If the required capital varys with sales then enter it as a Varible Other item, if the required capital tends to be a fix overhead amount included it as a Fixed Other item. FYI we have just released a browser based valuation model that applies discounted cash flow to determine NPV it is based on the same methodology as the Business Valuation Model and Business Analysis Modules. It can be assessed from https://bizpep.com/businessanalysis.html re ..
