Questions & Answers
Q: What are the requirements to use software?
A: To use our Excel based software you require Microsoft Excel installed on your computer. Software is written with Excel 2000/2002 but most software features should run on Excel versions from 97 on. If you access the software as a compressed (zip) file it will require unzipping for use. Trial Zip software is available free from Winzip ( http://www.winzip.com ).
Generally Excel on Macs does not support all macro functions so some functionality may be missing. Depending on the software title this may or may not be an issue. All software is available free for evaluation so the best option if in doubt is to is download it and give it a test.

Q: When I try to create a sitemap, I still get a message saying that I have a seven day trial period and that my code won't work after that.
A: SiteMap XML Software registration details are saved as cookies on your system. As long as cookies are enabled and not blocked/cleared the registration details remain. When you use registered SiteMap XML Software to generate Dynamic SiteMap Code the registration is embedded in the generated code. If the Software reverts to evaluation mode then cookies were cleared and you need to re-enter software registration details. If Dynamic SiteMap Code is in evaluation mode then it was not build with registered software and you need to re-enter software registration details and rebuild the Dynamic code. You can see the current registration status of the software using the Registration link in the top menu. Make sure there is valid registration before you build code. To check an existing dynamic sitemap registration open your sitemap file in a text editor and the registration status when the sitemap code was built is displayed at the top.

Q: I downloaded the trial version, but the UPDATEPL function is not working. When I click enable Macros it comes up with a pop up File Error: Data may have been lost... I was hoping to see what it looked like.
A: If when you enable Macros you receive an error your Excel installation may not be compatible with the software. In which case you will need to try it on a different installation. If you are using Excel on Vista or XP it is most likely a Microsoft error that requires an update for Excel to run correctly. See the Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack 1 at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9A1822C5-49C6-47BD-8BEC-0D68693CA564&displaylang=en with further details at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940289 . Operationally the trial version is the same as the evaluation version so you should be able to see and test all key operations.

Q: If I buy your program, will I have access to sheet formulas and macros? I need to see how calculations are made and occasionally tweak one to meet our company standards.
A: With the standard Non Commercial license all non-input cells and Visual Basic code are protected to ensure integrity and protect source code. All input is via unprotected input cells, protected cells contain formula and can not be viewed. We do offer Commercial licenses (Business Valuation Model Excel single user US$207) which unprotect some sheets allowing you to to view the formula applied, access cell contents to enhance your knowledge of software operation (macros remain protected) and undertake minor refinements (ie headings etc). In this format application sheets are unprotected, the workbook itself and the Terms and Conditions and Instructions sheets remain protected to maintain licensing and intellectual property rights notification. To purchase a Commercial license simply select the License Type Commercial when you make your purchase. If you require access to macros a source license is required (Business Valuation Model Excel $US 621), details on a Source License agreement are available at https://bizpep.com/SourceLic.html If you require a source license please let me know and I will provide payment details.

Q: Does the evaluation copy allow us to import our own QB data? Do we need to purchase it to try it with our own data?. I have tried using my csv file and it does not work. Please advise.
A: Yes, in evaluation mode the only limitations are to the Save and Print functions. If you are having difficulty importing it may be a formatting issue for the data you are exporting from QuickBooks to the csv file. Review the example csv files and the support information to ensure the form is valid.
