Questions & Answers
Q: Some staff members cannot work the same shift as another staff member. For example only 1 Batista is needed on any shift. Is it possible to set conditions such as these?
A: Not within the single roster but it can be achieved by setting a separate roster for Batista's and a roster for other staff ie by breaking the roster into groups of unique staff separate rosters can be built for each group.

Q: I am interested in purchasing the shift Scheduler. I need to develop rosters for continuous three shift system for 8,10 or 12 hours for a 40 hour work week. Would this software accommodate such rotation?
A: Yes, it should suit your requirements. You can access more details and give it a free test run from https://bizpep.com/shiftscheduler.html .

Q: I cannot seem to get a schedule for a whole month. I input the start date as 1st October but the build roster function only generates schedule up to end date 3rd Oct. or for only three days!
A: You need to Add Shifts to cover the period required. ie if you were building a roster for a week (7 days) and you had three shifts each day you need to have a total of 21 shifts (7 * 3 = 21). Please read the Help file https://bizpep.com/shiftscheduler.html .

Q: We have multiple functions and irregular shifts, but that said each week is the same as the last. Hope you can help with explaining if it is possible to fit all this into 1 roster, and will that mean a different shift for each timeslot/function and if so what about the different weekdays are also other shifts.
A: If you have different functions that can only be done by some staff you will need to setup a different roster for each function/staff combination (because the Scheduler is not designed to handle staff variances ie as far as it is concerned all staff are equal). If it is just different functions that can be done by any staff then simply allocate a shift for each ie you may need to have 2 shifts that are the same times but 1 is for function 1 and the other is for function 2. These will also be repeated if required on following days if required.

Q: Please outline the cost of your system to cover 90 employees and the ability to expand as we do.
A: You can freely add as many staff as required to the Scheduler. Licensing is based on the number of users (ie people actually using the software, setting it up and running it) and the type of use. If there is just 1 user and the use is within the business (ie not consulting to other businesses) then a single user non commercial license is suitable, the cost for this type of license is US$68.00. You can assess further detail from https://bizpep.com/shiftscheduler.html .
