Q: Hello, I have just purchased your software to do my quarterly BAS. I have previously used a full accounting software package but when I purchased my new laptop I needed a new install and felt they charged too much. Your spreadsheet seems just what I need to calculate the GST however I really need to be able to do my bank reconciliations as well. Do you have a solution or add on to achieve this?
A: The BAS Business Accounts Software is designed to be fairly streamlined and provide a specific service as such there are no add on's for bank reconciliation. However the Income Received and Expense Paid totals are included for each month. So if you are using a single bank account and depending upon gst payments you can cross check your bank balance against the Received less the Paid amounts for the period.

Q: Hi. I have just joined BAS-ic. I used the link given, set and opened in Google Chrome. I have set up business name and type and GST but I cannot enter any data under account, revenue or amount. I am using Windows 7. Hope you can help.
A: To add a transaction click an account button (revenue account buttons are green, expense account buttons are red) this adds a transaction line and then you can input a total in the transaction line (red or green cell in the total column). You can see an Overview of BAS-I.C Small Business BAS and GST Accounting at http://bas-i.com.au/overview.html this includes a video showing how data is input. If you still have difficulty let me know exactly what you are doing and what does or does not happen and I will assist further. Your system seems suitable and should be fully functional.

Q: I have a small accounting business and I am looking to improve my own business equity as well start looking for another business to purchase. I would like to have the ability to run numbers for prospective businesses I may want to purchase. I may only use the software 2-3 times a quarter, so I do not want to get into a monthly fee. I think there is a version where I can buy it once and have it installed on my PC. Prior to doing so is there a trial copy I can use to play with it before I buy it?
A: You can access Business Valuation Model Excel directly at: https://bizpep.com/businessvaluation.html . This is available for a once only registration fee of $69.00 (no ongoing fee). You can download, install on your PC, give it a test run and then purchase a license to register it. Hope that helps.

Q: I would like a GST accounting software to replace E record, the software that the ATO gave out a few years ago. I have the latest Mac computer. The E record software had receipts, payments, wages and super and then it would work out the information needed to fill in the BAS form.
A: Our BAS Business Accounts Software Excel https://bizpep.com/basbusinessaccounts.html may be suitable. It is Excel based but should run on a Mac spreadsheet. It does not include wages but generates BAS data directly from income and expenses. You can download it a give it a test run for free to review its functionality.
